v1.2.5 - The Connection Bug Fix and Landscape Login Screen

Just finished publishing the new versions (free and premium) and I can absolutely confirm that users experiencing the "Cannot Connect to Foursquare" will no longer have this issue.  Some other minor bugs were fixed.

This version adds updated images and a landscape layout for the Login screen.

Let me know what you think!

  1. Good show!

    Future release requests:

When I hit "okay" I'd love to be taken back to the previous results rather than having the tab reloaded.

I'd like to see the max distance requirement increased because sometimes GPS is inaccurate.

Would love to see a "traveling" feature that can be toggled on or off. Battery consumption for this app is a little high when the check in intervals are low but I only need them as low as possible when I'm traveling. Bridges, highway markers, etc.

    Question:
I carry two Android handsets. If I have your app on both do I need to task kill or log out of one to avoid double check-in's?

  2. Unfortunally the automated checkin doesn't work. I checked my favourites but I'm at home for hours now and according to Foursquare still at the mall where I checked in by hand.
One problem at my phone (not logging in) fixed an other came up.
Still not satisfied about this program, needs more devolopment!

  3. Sorry to tell you mate but same problem here.
Did a manual checkin this afternoon.
Set every page up in a way it seems most logical to me. Stoped started restarted GPS and checkin assistant couple of times for like an hour but no auto checking on my galaxy S.
The tool tells me i'm off bij 22 mtrs and the checkin radius is set to 100mtrs

  4. I assume that this app runs all the time in the background? The instructions don't really make it clear if this is so or if I need to have the app open for it to work.

Also, would be nice to be able to have a global Checkin Radius that can be set, and allow the individual Checkin Radius to over-ride that. This is because I'd like to have all my locations set to 100 meters instead of the default 50, but to change this for all my locations would be a huge job to do it one by one.

  5. Bug?
I'm using a Droid X and I've noticed two issues that prevent me from really using the app. The first is that the minimum time between checkin's featuredoesn't work for me so when traveling between several favorite spots I can quickly trigger a rapid check in error. Also my program appears to login to foursquare every few seconds effectively draining the battery in little to no time. I have to task kill, log out completely, or power cycle my device to fix the issue. Any suggestions?

  6. Hoping version 1.3 will be released soon. At the moment I am not using the app because of earlier comment.

  7. I have just started using both FourSquare and CheckIn Assistant. I generally like the program, but have comments.

    1. A method to stop repetitive checkins. I come and go from home several times a day. I would like to checkin each time I return home, but not if home is still the last place I checked in. I would like to set my timer for my home location to two hours. Unfortunately, this means I check in every two hours all night long, while I am in bed. I want to only do it if I leave and come back.

    2. I haven't figured out the magic combination of what makes the app figure out where I am. Sometimes it seems to work quietly in the background, sometimes it doesn't. I can usually kick start it by turning GPS off and back on or by opening the maps program. Maybe this is just a user education issue, but I don't know what makes it go.

    3. I'm not excited by Mayorships. But, this seems to be the default page that Checkin Assistant opens to. Let us choose the default opening page.

    Thanks. Looking forward to v1.3.
